The CDCFIB Shortlist 2026 is now available for candidates who participated in the physical and medical screening exercise for the 2024/2025 recruitment into Nigeria’s paramilitary agencies.
Candidates who successfully passed the screening and assessment stage can now check their recruitment status through the official CDCFIB recruitment portal.
The shortlist covers recruitment into the:
- Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)
- Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS)
- Federal Fire Service (FFS)
- Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS)
Those who are shortlisted will proceed to the oral interview, which is the next stage of the recruitment process.

The shortlist is for candidates who participated in the recently concluded physical and medical screening exercise for the 2024/2025 recruitment.

Graduate Candidates
Candidates who applied under the Graduate Category can check their status from:
August 31 to September 2, 2026

NCE, OND and SSCE Candidates
Candidates who applied using NCE, OND or SSCE qualifications can check their status from:
September 7 to September 9, 2026

What Happens If You Are Shortlisted?
Being shortlisted means you have progressed to the oral interview stage.
Candidates who receive an invitation should complete all the required steps on the portal.
You will need to:
- Confirm your shortlist status.
- Choose an available interview venue.
- Select your preferred date and time from the available options.
- Print your invitation letter.
- Read all instructions on the invitation letter.
- Attend the interview at the selected venue and time.
- Follow the required dress code.
Only candidates shortlisted for the final exercise will be permitted to enter the interview venue.
What Is the CDCFIB Oral Interview?
The CDCFIB oral interview is the next stage for candidates who have successfully progressed through the recruitment screening and assessment process.
Being invited for the oral interview means that your application has moved further in the recruitment process. However, an invitation does not mean you have been finally employed.
Candidates who receive an invitation should carefully follow the instructions on the recruitment portal and their invitation letter. This includes selecting an approved venue, choosing an available date and time, printing the invitation letter and attending the interview as scheduled.
